Areas of Focus

Dive Safety and Compliance
At Brennan, safety is the foundation of every dive. Our divers are Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI)–certified, fit-to-dive, and trained through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC). In addition to formal dive school certification, our teams receive advanced training in Brennan’s own dive tank, ensuring real-world readiness and unmatched performance in the field.
Our dive operations meet or exceed standards set by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA – federal and state), ADCI, International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) EM 385-1-1. Brennan is also prequalified with ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce, reflecting our ongoing commitment to the highest levels of safety, compliance, and quality in every project.

Nuclear Diving
Our nuclear diving operations adhere to the strictest industry and federal requirements, ensuring full compliance, exceptional quality assurance, and unmatched operational safety. Backed by advanced technology and decades of experience, Brennan provides reliable underwater services that help nuclear facilities maintain peak performance, extend operational life, and safeguard critical infrastructure. Brennan is fully approved to perform safety-related work in accordance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1 (2022), and 10 CFR Part 21, and is certified to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) standards.

Underwater Inspections
At Brennan, we partner closely with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to perform comprehensive underwater inspections that identify concerns, support maintenance planning, and ensure regulatory compliance. Every project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. Using advanced technologies, including 3D modeling, hydrographic surveying, and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), we deliver precise data and actionable insights that enhance inspection efficiency and strengthen our industry-leading safety program.
ASME Certified Inspection Levels
- Level I—Visual and tactile with general measurements and observations
- Level II—Detailed, non-destructive testing (NDT), ultrasonic thickness (UT) measurements, intermittent cleaning, and focused measurements
- Level III—Highly detailed, extensive cleaning, specific measurements, and may include destructive testing
Inspecting Critical Infrastructure
Every underwater structure presents unique challenges. Brennan’s inspection divers combine advanced commercial diving expertise with deep experience in evaluating complex water-based infrastructure. Equipped with cutting-edge underwater imaging technology and ROVs, our team delivers accurate, data-driven assessments that keep critical assets safe, reliable, and performing at their best.

Underwater Imaging and Technology
At Brennan, we leverage advanced technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and insight, both above and below the waterline. Our investment in ROVs, acoustic imaging, and stereo camera systems enables us to perform detailed inspections in environments that may be unsafe or inaccessible for divers. These tools help clients save time, reduce risk, and gain a deeper understanding of their underwater structures before anyone enters the water.
ROVs
Equipped with high-definition cameras and sonar imaging, our remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) play a vital role in pre-dive planning, confined space inspections, and asset condition monitoring. Each unit can be fitted with specialized tools, including pressure washers, manipulator arms, dredging gear, and thickness gauges, for versatile, efficient underwater operations.
Acoustic Imaging
Our advanced 360° sector scans and side-scan sonar systems deliver high-resolution visuals even in zero-visibility conditions. From 3D point clouds to photorealistic underwater scans, this technology allows us to precisely identify, map, and assess submerged assets and site conditions.
Stereo Camera Systems
Brennan’s stereo camera technology captures ultra high-resolution video and crisp still images, supporting 3D modeling and point cloud generation. These systems provide accurate, measurable visuals of submerged assets, even in near-zero visibility, enabling precise analysis and reliable documentation.

Hydrographic Survey
Brennan uses advanced hydrographic survey technology to give owners and operators a complete, data-driven view of their underwater assets and surrounding benthic zones. By integrating bathymetric data with above-water imaging, we create precise 3D models that support planning, inspection, and long-term maintenance. These insights empower clients to make informed decisions, minimize risk, and streamline future operations.
Multi Beam Surveys
- Capture dense, high-resolution data for precise 3D models
- Create fly-through tours for exploring underwater conditions
- Identify areas of concern and classify submerged objects
- Support building information modeling (BIM) integration and volumetric analysis for scour monitoring
Single-Beam Surveys
- Effective in shallow-water conditions
- Provide accurate general depth information across a body of water
