Brennan manages harbor operations with real-time vessel tracking and seamless coordination between docks, terminals, and carriers. As an AWO-RCP member with U.S. Coast Guard–inspected vessels, we ensure reliable, compliant, and on-schedule barge movements every time. We use advanced communication and vessel tracking technology to streamline harbor movements, reduce wait times, and prevent terminal or carrier delays.
Barge Cleaning
We implement cost-effective, environmentally responsible barge cleaning solutions that fully comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Our team employs environmentally responsible cleaning and disposal methods for bulk cargo residues and utilizes onboard water treatment systems to safely manage and filter cleaning water.
24-Hour Dispatch
Our fully staffed dispatch center operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Using TowWorks™ software and real-time vessel tracking, we monitor barge activity continuously and respond quickly to changing conditions.
Shipyard Services
Located near mile marker 697 on the Upper Mississippi River within the Port of La Crosse, WI, Brennan’s floating dry dock provides convenient, reliable vessel repair services. Our certified welders and experienced mechanics deliver high-quality, cost-effective repairs to keep your fleet operating safely and efficiently. The dry dock measures 100 feet long by 64 feet wide with a 300-ton capacity, making it well-equipped to handle a wide range of maintenance and repair needs.
Inspection & Repair Services We Offer:
- Barge and vessel inspections – complete evaluations and repair estimates
- Barge repairs – complete topside and hull restoration
- Ship husbandry – Association of Diving Contractors International, Inc. (ADCI)-certified commercial divers come directly to you
- Vessel repairs – structural, hull, drive systems, electrical, and hydraulic
Short Haul Towing
Sometimes, all you need is a short haul. Our dispatch center is ready to connect you with the resources to efficiently relocate barges over short distances. Brennan operates its towing fleet with 24/7 responsiveness throughout the navigational season, ensuring reliable service whenever you need it. Our crews will execute efficient and safe transport with our AWO-RCP compliant with 800 to 1,800 horsepower towing vessels.
